Wink Loyalty is a consulting firm headed by Bill Winkelman.  It is based in Puget Sound, Washington and works with businesses and non-profits in marketing, product development, operations, management and strategy.

The company was founded to expand upon the work that Bill pioneered with Starbucks and the Starbucks Card but the practice quickly expanded into related areas including channel development, customer management, innovation management, impact measurement, and getting actionable benefits from the data that organizations were collecting through these efforts.

Recent work includes helping companies with segmentation, customer lifecycle management and increasing lifetime value through an ongoing regimen of feedback management and testing to increase engagement and reduce churn during the most critical times in the relationship.

Bill has 20+ years of experience in marketing, product management and operations.

Bill has worked in both consumer and b2b (SOHO up to enterprise) and with virtual and physical services/products. As an employee and consultant, he has helped build new capabilities and businesses for global enterprises including Starbucks, Microsoft, j2 Global Communications, Coinstar, First Data and Scholastic.  As a consultant and advisor, he has worked with a variety of early stage startups in a range of industries.

His primary passions are customer management and helping organizations build and use tools to enable impact measurement and ROI of their marketing and product initiatives.  He believes that asking the right questions can be more valuable than finding that day’s right answer.
